EFEKTIVITAS PEMBERIAN MADU TERHADAP KEPARAHAN BATUK PADA ANAK ISPA : LITERATURE REVIEW

Background: URTI (Upper Respiratory Tract Infection) is a respiratory illness that are pretty
common in children, caused by bacterial activity that will infect the respiratory tract, Cough can
impact quality of life, anxiety symptom and affect sleep in children. Non-pharmacological nursing
actions with very minimal side effects are very suitable and one of them is giving honey to
alleviate cough symptoms . Purpose: To evaluate the effectiveness of honey and how they overcome
for acute cough in children with URTI. Methods: Research design Literature Review, Online
database is a direct science journal, Pubmed, Google Scholar, journals used in the 2016-2021
deadline, searches using population: children suffering from ARI Intervention: giving honey
which has an effect on the severity of a child's cough, Research design : literature review and
quasi-experiment. Results: There were 1826 articles and screened through the PICOS method
so that 10 articles that met the standards were obtained. Conclusion: Honey in a literature study
may overcome acute cough in children because of its antioxidant and antibacterial properties,
and it may relief throat irritation in non-productive coughs.
